"At least I can laugh..."

My mom and I went shopping at Kohl's today. She found a few tops she liked-she looked great in them. We ran some other errands and ended up at her condo. As I was getting ready to leave, I made reference to her new clothes sitting in the bag. She honestly had no recollection of them! I pulled out the purple jacket she had bought and she loved the color! Then we laughed and my mom said "At least I can laugh otherwise I'd be crying!"

And that pretty much sums it all up from here on out.

  1. Very well summarized, sis... as I read your blogs, the roller coaster of emotions come to life within me and I don't like it - yet it is our journey, our story with our most wonderful mother. She called me 2 days in a row with the same purpose - to tell me how this medicatied cream we got to clear up her 'winter rash' on her legs/arms last week is also working on her nose to clear up some rosasia there. She was so excited that it was working on that too! She told me a year or so that she doesn't like it when she repeats herself so I should tell her when she does that. However, this time I choose to pretend it's a new revelation...really Mom? That's great...
God says His Grace is sufficient...ugh, heavy sigh, I know this to be true...
